ILC Ipswich Residential Summer School offers an exceptional English learning experience for young students aged 11-17 in the heart of Suffolk, England. Students receive 15 hours of weekly tuition in small classes of 10-14, enjoy full-board residential accommodation, and participate in exciting excursions to London, Cambridge, and Norwich. The campus features exceptional facilities including swimming pool, sports hall, professional theatre, dance studio, art and design studio, and outdoor sports pitches. Modern amenities include computer rooms, well-equipped kitchens, and Wi-Fi throughout campus. These facilities enable diverse activities from sports and swimming to drama, dance, and creative arts, ensuring every student finds activities matching their interests while providing excellent spaces for both learning and leisure throughout their stay.
Residential Accommodation
Two accommodation options available: Westwood House, a Victorian mansion in wooded grounds, offers traditional boarding with single to three-bed dorms and shared facilities. The modern Sixth Form House features single ensuite rooms with private bathrooms, plus lounge, TV room, kitchen, IT suites, and music rooms. Full-board accommodation includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Special dietary requirements including halal, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are catered for. Separate male and female buildings ensure comfort and privacy.
Activities and Excursions
Students enjoy five supervised afternoon and evening activities weekly, plus exciting excursions. Each week includes one half-day trip to attractions like Clacton-on-Sea or Languard Fort, and one full-day excursion to major destinations including London, Cambridge, and Norwich. These trips provide opportunities to explore iconic British landmarks, experience different cities, and practice English in authentic settings while creating memorable experiences with new international friends under professional supervision.
